The company Orange County Choppers was found 1999 in Montgomery, Orange County (district of New York). OCC came from the steel factory Orange County Ironworks, a steal shop founded 30 years ago by Paul Teutul Sr. The company caused the first stir in 1999 at the Daytona Bike Week with the True Blue Bike, a classic Chopper, built by Paul Teutul Sr. in the basement of his house.
After this success, Teutul Sr decided to found the company OCC with his son Paul Teutul Jr. Paul Teutul Jr. is responsible for the Design and fabrication of the bikes. The youngest son of Paul Teutul Sr, Michael works in the shop by this time, too. Teutul Jr. has built many custom bikes, which have made a noise in the world. For example the Spiderman Bike, which was bought by Wyclef Jean or the Jet Bike which is a tribute to the soldiers in Afghanistan?
And to keep in mind the Fire Bike which is a tribute to the fire fighters who died at the 11th September 2001 in the World Trade Center. .
The bikes of OCC are popular all around the world. OCC was chosen to the 12 best bike fabricator in the world by the American Iron magazine. They were also eternalized in the book Haute Motor: The Art of the Chopper.
OCC also produces production bikes for the sale. There are 14 choppers models which are built after the customer’s ideas. OCC also has a Retail Shop where you can buy merchandise of OCC.
